Site Reliability Engineer

Optum is hiring for the role of Site Reliability Engineer! Responsibilities of Candidate: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation to enable reliable, repeatable software delivery Administer and support GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions workflows Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices Improve platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices Partner with engineering teams to standardize build, deploy, and release processes Implement security best practices including secrets management, dependency scanning, and compliance controls Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI-assisted tooling Participate in on-call support and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Requirements: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release engineering Solid hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions Experience with Java and Maven build tooling Hands-on experience with Docker containerization Experience deploying and operating workloads in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform Experience with Azure AKS and cloud networking Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code scanning) Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and automated security tooling Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting Proven solid collaboration and communication skills across engineering, security, and platform teams
