You will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments across complex enterprise landscapes. This involves managing Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and migration activities. You will perform performance tuning, capacity analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for database and application-related issues. Additionally, you will support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations, execute database maintenance activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and deliver operational improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security. - Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and migration activities. - Perform performance tuning, capacity analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations. - Execute database maintenance activities with minimal disruption. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and drive operational improvements. - Provide support for Oracle engineered systems like Exadata. - Contribute to automation and DevOps initiatives for operational efficiency and service quality. Qualifications: Mandatory: - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration. - Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. - Robust experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts. - Proven expertise in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and migrations. - Strong understanding of database monitoring, incident management, problem management, and operational best practices. - Ability to work independently across IC2 to IC4-level responsibilities. - Willingness to work in rotational shifts and provide weekend support. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Good-to-Have: - Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate for replication, data movement, or migration. - Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems, especially Exadata. - Awareness or hands-on exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. - Experience with DevOps practices, scripting, automation, or infrastructure-as-code. - Familiarity with automation tools or scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Ansible.
