About the role
As a Lead Data Engineer at Orange Business, you will play a crucial role in the Big Data B2B program by automating and industrializing build and development tasks. Your main responsibilities will include: - Automating and industrializing the build and development tasks to streamline processes. - Leading discussion sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements effectively. - Participating in all areas of the data Engineering life-cycle, including data mapping, systems design, and data ingestion development. - Preparing data mapping documentation, testing, deployment, and providing post-implementation support. - Resolving and troubleshooting complex problems and issues efficiently. - Providing innovative solutions to complex business problems. - Working closely with project teams and Business Analysis team on project delivery status. - Preparing progress updates and status reports to ensure transparency and alignment. - Offering operational support, ongoing maintenance, and enhancement after implementation as part of Run Management Activities. - Implementing Best Data Integration Practices to ensure efficiency and quality in data pipelines. In addition to the above responsibilities, your profile should match the following qualifications: - Good understanding of Big Data Ecosystem with frameworks like HADOOP, SPARK. - Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Python, Java, or Scala. - Hands-on experience with tools like NiFi, Hive, SQL/HQL, Oozie, Pyspark, Data Bricks. - Knowledge of data integration patterns, KAFKA, Rabbit MQ, REST API concepts, and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with DevOps tooling and concepts like Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Gitlab. - Understanding of Cloud architecture, specifically Azure Data Engineering Stack. - Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics. - Certification in any of the Hyperscalers preferably Azure is a plus. - Knowledge of AGILE methods, JIRA, Power BI Reporting, and Data Modelling. - Familiarity with Open Digital Architecture, TMF principles, and tools like Dataiku, Jupyter Notebook.
