Sr. Backend Engineer (.NET Core)

As a Senior Backend Engineer (.NET Core) at the Indian unit of a multi-billion dollar German MNC, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using .NET Core (8.0+). You will be responsible for building microservices-based backend APIs aligned with the EcoTools platform architecture, developing secure and high-performance REST APIs, and contributing to backend architecture decisions and integrations across various initiatives. Additionally, you will guide and mentor backend engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high code quality and reliability through testing and automation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using .NET Core (8.0+). - Build microservices-based backend APIs aligned with EcoTools platform architecture. - Develop secure and high-performance REST APIs for micro frontend applications and services. - Contribute to backend architecture decisions, service design, API standards, authentication, and data access patterns. - Integrate backend services with platform services like authentication, messaging, and logging. - Ensure backend solutions meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, and security. - Guide and mentor backend engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices. - Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and platform teams for seamless system integration. - Implement unit and integration tests, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and support technical documentation. - Participate in architectural governance reviews and troubleshooting production issues. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 69 years of hands-on backend development experience using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core. - Experience in REST API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. - Proficiency with Azure cloud services and authentication mechanisms. - Strong knowledge of clean architecture principles, SOLID design patterns, and Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and debugging skills. - Ability to manage responsibilities independently, deliver results within deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams.
