About the role
Full-Stack Engineer (TypeScript)
Company
Orcrist builds the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a secure, Kubernetes-native system that powers open-source intelligence collection and analysis for defense and public safety customers.
Role
Ship analyst-facing OSINT features end-to-end. You’ll develop Next.js/Node.js services, integrate policy controls, and optimize search/alerting experiences that respect legal and privacy constraints.
What you'll do
-
• Build search, watchlists, alerts, and dashboards with provenance and consent visibility.
-
• Implement Node.js services interfacing with Temporal pipelines, Kafka, and OpenSearch.
-
• Enforce policy controls (Keycloak/OpenFGA, rate limiting, redaction) and observability best practices.
-
• Improve performance for large datasets and participate in on-call rotations.
-
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Data Acquisition to deliver compliant workflows.
About you
• 3–7 years full-stack TypeScript experience; shipped data-intensive or compliance-sensitive products.
• Comfortable with React/Next.js, Node.js/tRPC, search/streaming systems, and testing/observability.
• Eligible to work in Germany; EU/NATO citizenship preferred for export-control work.
Nice-to-haves
• German language (B1+)
• Experience with OSINT, rate limiting, or policy enforcement.
What We Offer
-
• Modern stack: TypeScript/Next.js/React, Node, Kafka/Temporal, Postgres/OpenSearch, Kubernetes.
-
• Remote-first in Germany with regular Berlin prototyping sprints, 30 days vacation, equipment & learning budget.
-
• High-impact work: your prototypes shape what becomes product across multiple delivery teams.
