Associate I Software Engineer - Java

In this role, you will be an innovative and self-motivated Java Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications. Your main responsibilities will include: - Design & Development: Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Java 17+ and modern frameworks like Spring Boot. - Cloud Integration: Deploy, manage, and scale applications in a cloud environment, preferably GCP, using modern containerization and orchestration tools. - Architecture & Optimization: Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring optimal performance, low latency, and high availability. - Code Quality: Participate actively in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and ensure adherence to best coding practices and design patterns. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA engineers. - Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve production issues, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing application performance. Qualifications required for this position are as follows: - Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience primarily focused on backend engineering. - Modern Java: Hands-on experience with Java 17 or higher, including a strong understanding of recent language features. - Version Control: Strong experience with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). - Unit Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
