About the role
As an ETL Architect specializing in Azure Data Platform at OwlSure, a Business Unit of ValueMomentum, you play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions using Microsoft Azure data platform services. Your responsibilities include architecting scalable ETL/ELT frameworks, designing star and snowflake schemas, developing pipelines for data loading, optimizing performance, ensuring governance and security, and providing technical leadership and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and design scalable ETL/ELT frameworks using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks. - Define best practices for data integration, data quality, error handling, logging, and performance optimization. - Design star and snowflake schemas for analytical workloads and implement scalable Medallion architecture layers. - Develop and maintain complex pipelines to load data into Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage. - Optimize database, storage, and query performance for scalability and cost efficiency. - Implement hybrid and multi-cloud integration solutions using Azure services and Azure Arc. - Implement governance, security, and compliance frameworks using Microsoft Purview and ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards. - Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive architecture reviews and standards. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of experience in ETL architecture and data engineering. - Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Azure data platforms. - Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage. - Advanced SQL and Spark skills (PySpark / Scala) and understanding of data warehousing concepts, OLTP & OLAP modeling, and Medallion architecture. - Experience with batch & streaming pipelines, CDC, incremental loads, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, and data governance.
