About the role
As a Data Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing and managing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. Your role will involve driving metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage initiatives. You will work extensively with Atlan for data discovery, governance workflows, and catalog management. Additionally, you will govern Databricks environments, including Unity Catalog, lineage tracking, access controls, and data classification. Your responsibilities will also include designing and implementing business glossaries and data stewardship models, establishing and monitoring data quality rules, validations, and governance workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting compliance and audit requirements, and using SQL and Python for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in Data Governance / Metadata Management / Data Quality / EDM - Hands-on experience with Atlan (mandatory) - Strong expertise in Databricks Governance (Unity Catalog, lineage, cataloging, access governance) - Deep understanding of data lineage, metadata, and data cataloging concepts - Experience implementing business glossaries and stewardship frameworks - Strong SQL and Python skills - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Additional Details: - Experience with governance tools like Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Alation, Apache Atlas, Ataccama would be a plus - Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP is beneficial - Familiarity with data quality frameworks and regulatory/compliance initiatives is advantageous Joining us will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data and AI initiatives, gain exposure to enterprise-scale cloud and analytics ecosystems, be part of a collaborative and innovation-driven work culture, and access strong career growth and leadership opportunities.
