PACCAR India is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, specializing in the design and development of Vehicle integration include Chassis, Fuel systems & Architecture.

As a Mechanical Engineer at PACCAR, you will leverage your expertise in Piping, Sheet-metal, Casting design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing processes to create robust, ergonomic, and manufacturable solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Ability to design fuel system layouts and routing for Commercial Vehicle

Knowledge requirement Component selection for Fuel tank Fuel pump (low/high pressure) Fuel filters & separators Injectors and fuel rails

Knowledge of fuel supply architecture

Familiarity with high-pressure fuel injection systems (CRDI systems)

Develop robust sheet ‑ metal & Casting bracket designs with good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Create detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T, BOM creation, and adherence to engineering standards.

Perform packaging, tool clearance studies and apply ergonomics principles in design.

Work on large assemblies, including effective use of simplified representations.

Collaborate with cross ‑ functional teams locally and globally to ensure design alignment and manufacturability.

Should be able to work independently and guide junior team member.

The primary function for this position includes:

Execution on CAD – Advance Piping, Sheetmetal, modeling and assembly, drawing.

Understand design requirements, clearance check, drawing standards, GD&T, and Bill of Material (BOM).

Familiar with commercial Vehicle powertrain and IC Engine peripheral components

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

1–3 years of hands ‑ on experience in Mechanical engineering.

Strong proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill.

Solid understanding of Piping, sheet ‑ metal & Casting design and manufacturing processes.

Familiar with truck systems and components.

Ability to design fuel system layouts and routing for Commercial Vehicle

Innovative and creative approach to design optimization.

Ability to manage and design large assemblies efficiently.

Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack ‑ up, and engineering drawing practices.

Experience in tool clearance, reliability, and ergonomic assessments.

Ability to collaborate with both local and global engineering teams.

Technical / Professional Experience Desired:

Creo Simulation – an added advantage.
