About the role
Role Summary We are looking for a Linux Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and support Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting Linux-related issues, ensuring system stability, and providing technical support to internal teams for business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support for Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) Monitor system performance, availability, and security Troubleshoot Linux OS, application, and network-related issues Manage user access, permissions, and system configurations Perform system updates, patching, and backups Handle server logs, process monitoring, and disk management Coordinate with application, network, and security teams for issue resolution Support deployment and maintenance of applications on Linux servers Ensure uptime of trading, back-office, and internal applications Document incidents, root cause analysis, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Technical Skills Required Solid hands-on experience with Linux OS administration Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH) Experience with system monitoring tools and log analysis Familiarity with firewall rules and security best practices Exposure to databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) is a plus Experience in financial services or stock broking domain is an advantage Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work under pressure in a production environment Good communication and coordination skills Willingness to provide support during critical hours, if required Educational Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Relevant Linux certifications (RHCE/RHCSA) are a plus .
