About the role
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, contemporary JavaScript/TypeScript, API development, database design, and cloud-ready architectures. You will collaborate closely with Front-end Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications while mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and Express.js/NestJS. Develop robust RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services. Build reusable, testable, and efficient server-side code. Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and application performance. Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices (JWT, OAuth, encryption, etc.). Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of applications. Collaborate with Front-end Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning. Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards and best practices. Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and cloud infrastructure. Required Skills 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Extensive experience with Express.js and/or NestJS frameworks. Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, and event-driven architecture. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
