As a Senior Staff Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a pivotal role in architecting a more secure foundation for the enterprise browser landscape. Your responsibilities will include: - Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of critical features for the Chromium-based enterprise browser, from conception to deployment and maintenance. - Conducting in-depth research into low-level operating systems to develop innovative solutions for bolstering enterprise security. - Mentoring and guiding fellow engineers to foster a collaborative environment that promotes technical excellence. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals and technical execution. - Setting high standards for quality by driving continuous improvements in development processes and overall product architecture. - Resolving complex performance, multi-threading, and security challenges across Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms. - Articulating a clear technical vision and influencing the product's technical direction through effective communication. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of professional software development experience in a relevant role. - Strong experience in Typescript, ReactJS, Javascript, and Chrome extension development. - Experience in Content scripts and Background services. - Experience in API integration. - Exceptional debugging skills on Windows, MacOS, and/or Linux platforms. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Microservice architecture developed in Go. - Experience in React UI and Python. - Knowledge of Security best practices (CSP, permission minimizations). - Familiarity with web browser fundamentals, including cookies, sandboxing, and user profiles.
