About the role
As a Production Engineer specializing in Gear Box Assembly & Testing at Paltech Cooling Towers & Equipments Ltd., you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities of gearboxes. Your key responsibilities include: - Managing manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities of gearboxes. - Supervising assembly technicians and shop-floor personnel to ensure smooth production operations. - Ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and delivery commitments. - Conducting gearbox assembly inspections and performance testing as per specifications. - Analyzing assembly and testing issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions. - Monitoring productivity, cycle time, and resource utilization to improve operational efficiency. - Ensuring proper use of measuring instruments, testing equipment, and assembly tools. - Coordinating with Quality, Design, Purchase, and Stores departments for smooth workflow. - Maintaining production records, testing reports, and daily progress reports. - Implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. - Training and guiding operators on assembly procedures, quality requirements, and best practices. To excel in this role, you should possess robust knowledge of gearbox assembly, troubleshooting, and testing procedures. Additionally, you should have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions, along with good problem-solving, team management, and communication skills.
