Senior AI Platform Engineer

As a Senior AI Platform Engineer at PAR Technology Corporation, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and operating a production-grade, multi-tenant AI Platform on AWS. Your responsibilities will include: - Building the PAR Restaurant AI Platform, providing product engineering teams with APIs, SDKs, tool registry, and knowledgebase services for authoring and deploying agents - Designing and building GenAI microservices and stateful multi-agent workflows, selecting appropriate orchestration patterns based on auditability, latency, and complexity requirements - Developing an automated content ingestion pipeline with content upload, embedding model selection, and OpenSearch Serverless indexing - Creating platform APIs, developer tooling, and SDKs for engineers to create, deploy, run, and observe multi-agent workflows with configurable guardrails - Owning the platform observability stack, providing tools for engineers to fetch observability metrics and distributed traces auto-provisioned on every agent deployment Qualifications required for this role include: - 78 years of hands-on Machine Learning / AI Engineering experience, with a focus on production GenAI or LLM systems - Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field - Experience in designing and building multi-tenant, production-grade ML platforms or developer-facing AI infrastructure - Proficiency in AWS services, GenAI & LLM Frameworks, ML Ops, programming languages like Python and TypeScript, data stores, CI/CD & DevOps collaboration, observability & monitoring, and security & policy frameworks Your soft skills should include exceptional written and verbal communication, strong collaboration instincts, emerging leadership skills, and comfort with ambiguity. Additionally, familiarity with restaurant, hospitality, or retail domains, experience in building LLMs or embedding models, and contributions to open-source projects are considered bonus points.
