Engineering Manager, Meggitt Xiamen

Position Summary Position Summary: This position is responsible for the full product development life cycle and NPI/NPT activities in PSC China Business Unit, participates in setting a growth strategy for the business that is consistent with company goals. Responsibilities Job Responsibility: Leads and directs the engineering teams and maintains alignment to business strategy.

Ensures appropriate resources to support the new product development, introduction or transfer to achieve financial and business objectives.

Defines processes and procedures to drive the engineering projects efficiently and effectively, while ensuring department budget is met.

Manages crisis resolution, provides managerial and technical solutions to a variety of issues.

Ensures profitability and manufacturability of new designs while managing technical risks.

Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.

Develops and controls intellectual property.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and program departmental management.

• Design experience with industrial valve or polymer seals is preferred.

• Knowledge of new product development, and able to guide engineering team on product life cycle management from market feasibility study, concept design to mass production.

• Wide technical knowledge and the capability of technical trouble shooting.

• Proven project management skills and customer focused spirit.

• Strategic thinker but with hands on approach and results orientated.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and web-browsers.

• Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing.
