About the role
Role & responsibilities Benchmark and evaluate competitor products, particularly BLDC motors and Fan motors. Perform reverse engineering by analyzing competitor electrical circuits. Prepare circuit diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOM) using Electrical CAD tools. Design motor-related electrical circuits and testing equipment. Conduct electrical evaluation, EMC testing, and environmental (ambient) testing. Analyze test results and recommend design improvements. Utilize laboratory instruments such as Oscilloscope, LCR Meter, and Environmental Test Chambers. Mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to team and organizational development. Support new product development activities for the India engineering center. Preferred candidate profile Required Skills Experience in electrical circuit design and evaluation. Hands-on experience with ORCAD or equivalent Electrical CAD software. Strong knowledge of BLDC motors, Fan motors, or automotive electrical circuits. Practical experience using Oscilloscope and LCR Meter. Experience in motor testing and electrical validation. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Leadership or mentoring experience is preferred. Preferred Skills Experience in EMC testing and Environmental (Ambient) testing. Experience in product benchmarking and reverse engineering. Exposure to automotive, motor, or electrical product development. Eligibility Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or a related discipline. Relevant experience in motor design, electrical product development, or automotive electrical systems. Willingness to relocate to Japan for 12 years of training and subsequently work near Chennai.
