Database Administrator (DBA) - SQL Server

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading MySQL and MongoDB instances in on-premises or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing replication, sharding, and clustering for scalability and redundancy. - Performing backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning. - Monitoring database performance, capacity, and security using tools like Percona, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch. - Tuning SQL queries, indexes, and MongoDB aggregation pipelines for optimal performance. - Implementing and automating routine maintenance tasks (e.g., vacuuming, archiving, partitioning, compaction). - Managing users, roles, privileges, and access policies ensuring data security and compliance. - Scheduling and executing regular health checks and performance audits. - Handling incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) for database-related issues. - Supporting developers with schema design, indexing strategy, and query optimization. - Implementing CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines or data replication to analytics systems. - Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Ansible. Additionally, you will participate in database design reviews and architectural discussions to contribute to the overall database management strategy.
