Role Overview: As a Principal Architect at Payoneer, you will play a crucial role in the Cloud Modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities: - Lead critical initiatives to migrate, modernize, and re-architect legacy platforms - Design target architectures and establish modernization patterns - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate modernization and enhance cloud maturity - Migrate databases and applications to the cloud - Introduce modern DevOps and platform engineering practices - Shape the company's future cloud platform and engineering velocity - Drive large-scale transformation initiatives in complex enterprise environments - Translate legacy architectures into modern, scalable, and cloud-native systems - Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation - Design cloud architecture focusing on compute, storage, networking, and security - Lead cloud migration and modernization projects - Work with relational and NoSQL databases, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and disaster recovery design - Ensure high availability, scalability, and security compliance in enterprise environments Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or platform engineering - Deep hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS - Proficiency in designing cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Aurora - Familiarity with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc. - Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices - Experience in modernizing legacy systems into microservices or cloud-native architectures - Strong understanding of high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery design - Prior work in enterprise environments with a focus on security and compliance requirements About the Company: Payoneer, founded in 2005, is a global financial platform dedicated to removing barriers in cross-border business transactions.
