About the role
Role Overview: As a Manager in Data Science at PayU, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of data scientists and drive end-to-end ownership in designing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML solutions. Your role will involve managing stakeholders' expectations, seeking opportunities to innovate using non-traditional data and new modeling techniques, and ensuring high-quality project documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of data scientists to develop ML-based solutions for fraud management and transaction success rate improvement - Own the design, deployment, and maintenance of AI/ML solutions - Manage stakeholders' expectations effectively - Innovate by utilizing non-traditional data and new modeling techniques - Maintain up-to-date project documentation and uphold high quality in deliverables Qualifications Required: - Hold a degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field - Possess at least 5 years of work experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the fintech industry - Demonstrate hands-on experience with ML/programming tools like Python, R, and SQL - Proficiency in statistical techniques such as Logistic Regression, Catboost, XGBoost models, SVM, Clustering, PCA, etc. - Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Spark - Experience in team management is advantageous - Strong business acumen with the ability to solve business problems through data-driven methodologies - Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring the highest level of quality in reports and analysis - Ability to present ideas and analysis effectively to stakeholders - Exhibit intellectual curiosity, a willingness to learn continuously, and promote knowledge-sharing within the team Are you excited to leverage your skills and expertise to create value and make a difference in communities worldwide Reach out to us to explore further opportunities at PayU!
