About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer at Pentair, you will be a key contributor in the Innovation team, focusing on leading projects, creating intellectual property, managing projects, and innovating new-to-world technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions and drive excellence in new technology development. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new-to-world technologies and mechanical systems. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate innovative solutions within the designated time frame. - Perform detailed mechanical analysis and simulations using cutting-edge engineering tools. - Develop and execute testing protocols to validate new designs and ensure they meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards. - Explore and apply advanced materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to enhance design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. - Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inspire innovation. - Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate design concepts and recommendations. - Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations. - Provide technical leadership within the team and contribute to the creation of intellectual property (IP). Qualification Requirements: - Masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in system design and development. - Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing processes, and laboratory testing. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and interpretation of simulations. - Strong analytical and project management skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. - Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. - Expertise in MS Excel for data analysis is advantageous. - Willingness to quickly learn and grasp technologies related to water treatment.
