Exterior Lighting Design Engineer

Job Summary: Automotive Exterior lighting engineer

Core Responsibilities and Activities:

Experience in Design and development of exterior (Front, Rear and Center) lighting using Catia V5

Concept developments, Analytical calculations on design requirements

Experience in lamp integration with vehicle is preferred.

Experience in designing Lamp housing, Heatsink, 2K Lens, light blades, Bezels, Base plates Lamp assemblies.

Hands on experience in DFA, DFM evaluations for Metal Plastic parts, Gap and Flush, Tolerance calculation

Integration of electrical PCB’s, connectors with space optimization techniques

Knowledge on thermal, mechanical and defogging requirements for lamps

2D drawings creation for mechanical parts with suitable tolerance scheme.

Experience in release of 3D and 2D in PLM system

Working with Tier-1/OEM team for acceptance, release & improvements

Other Responsibilities:

Should coordinate with engineers located at different global technical centers.

Co-ordination with OEM and supplier resident engineer if required

Languages

English is a must.

Knowledge of other languages (Japanese) is added advantage

Previous Experience:

Must have lighting program work experience.

6+ years of working experience in Automotive lighting development
