About the role
Job Description:
Experience in design and development of Exterior Lighting systems
Exposure to global requirements for exterior lamps in term of regulatory requirements. types of light sources, venting options, reflector designs, optics, sealing section designs, material, air flow, condensation, mounting and GD&T, manufacturing processes (such as multi-K injection molding, lamp assembly techniques, lamps testing & validation etc.)
Project delivery related to engineering and design from kick off to implementation including QFD, benchmarking, feature analysis, engineering, drawing and model preparation and release, CAE and physical validation support, DFMEA and DVP-Preparation of Bill of Material in Exterior Lighting systems.
Homologation knowledge of Exterior lighting systems and care to be taken in product design.
Creating master sections of lighting components with interface to meet craftsmanship requirements.
Finalizing mounting strategy of exterior trim parts and lighting components with interface parts to meet robustness and other performance and Quality targets
Expertise on plastic component design and knowledge, understanding of tooling.
Knowledge of various plastic manufacturing process and critical parameters in exterior trims system and lighting systems which affects product requirements.
Good experience in Catia V5/V6 and engineering data management systems.
