About the role
Job Description:
Design and integration of large EV pack assembly lines. The lines are about 100m long and have many robots with multiple applications. These lines will supply a large automaker's new EV product line.
The PLC programmer will work as part of a larger team to code/design and integrate a cell or multiple cells. They will be responsible for ensuring the PLC program is safe, functional and reliable once the line has been powered on. Exposure to vision guided robot applications is an asset since there are many on the line.
The design stage of the project will be work from home due to covid restrictions. They will attend design reviews, develop PLC code in the GM GCCS standard in preparation for the start of integration. Once integration starts they will be required to work at the integration facility.
Required & Must Have Skills:
5+ years of Allen Bradley PLC development experience
GM GCSS training certification or significant experience following and working under GM standards
Proficiency with the PLC code in the GM GCCS standard
