About the role
Seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer with strong experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments. The role focuses on improving plant throughput, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement across production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve production throughput, efficiency, and capacity
Conduct time studies, method studies, and line balancing
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
Develop standard work, labor standards, and productivity metrics
Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives and eliminate waste
Optimize plant layout, workflow, and material flow
Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams
Drive continuous improvement and sustain results
Required Skills:
Strong Industrial Engineering fundamentals (time study, VSM, capacity analysis)
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, SMED
Expertise in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
Knowledge of ergonomics, safety, and process optimization
Tools: Excel, MOST/MODAPTS, simulation tools (Plant Simulation/Proplanner)
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience in trucks, heavy equipment, or specialty vehicle manufacturing
Exposure to AutoCAD, MS Project
