Mainframe Storage : We are looking for L3+ level candidates (Band 8 role) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Storage. Experience working on Dell Storage devices will be an added advantage. Work Locations: Bangalore and Gurgaon Work Model: Hybrid Shift Timings: 5:30 AM 2:30 PM Role & responsibilities Mainframe Storage Administrator - Required Technical and Professional Experience 10+ Years of Experience in Mainframe Storage Administration Administer and manage z/OS storage environments, including EMC/Dell EMC mainframe disk subsystems Configure and support storage replication solutions (SRDF) for high availability and disaster recoveryPerform disk initialization, reorganization, and space management activitiesMaintain and update SMS definitions (Storage Groups, Classes, ACS routines) across LPARsManage enterprise tape library systems and tape management processesMonitor and automate space allocation and dataset growth to prevent storage-related outagesAnalyze and optimize I/O performance using RMF/SMF and storage performance metricsMaintain DFSMS components and related storage utilities and productsImplement and support backup, archive, and DR procedures, including DR testingTroubleshoot and resolve high-severity storage incidents and service requestsCoordinate with storage vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and escalations Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Oversee daytoday operations of z/OS storage infrastructure supporting multiple LPARs Provision, configure, and manage mainframe disk resources, including volume setup and lifecycle controlDesign and maintain policydriven storage allocation through SMS constructs and ACS logicSupport data replication and resiliency solutions to meet availability and recovery objectivesAdminister tape environments, ensuring reliable media management and data retention complianceProactively track space consumption trends and implement automated controls to avoid shortagesEvaluate systemlevel metrics to identify and remediate I/O performance constraintsEnsure operational stability of DFSMS services and associated storage utilitiesExecute backup, archive, and data movement processes aligned with enterprise standardsParticipate in disaster recovery readiness, including testing, validation, and documentation updatesLead investigation and resolution of critical storagerelated outages and escalationsCoordinate with vendors and crossfunctional teams to deliver timely storage solutions and fixesLogic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail .
