Job Description Senior Hardware Design Engineer (Tablet Product Development) Position: Senior Hardware Design Engineer Tablet Product Development Experience: 10-18 Years Location: Hyderabad (Preferred) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Hardware Design Engineer to lead the architecture and development of a custom Android tablet from concept to production. The individual will define product requirements, own the hardware platform, work with industrial design, mechanical, firmware and software teams, and drive the complete hardware development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Define hardware architecture for a custom tablet/iPad-class device. Create Product Requirement Specifications (PRS) and Hardware Requirement Specifications (HRS). Select SoC, memory, display, battery, camera, sensors, connectivity, audio and power components. Design system architecture, schematics and PCB specifications. Lead board bring-up, debugging, validation and hardware verification. Work closely with Mechanical, Industrial Design, Android BSP, Firmware and Manufacturing teams. Drive prototype development, EVT, DVT and PVT phases. Ensure compliance with CE, FCC, BIS and other regulatory standards. Coordinate with ODM/OEM partners and component vendors. Support manufacturing readiness and product commercialization. Required Skills Strong experience designing consumer electronics or tablet hardware. Expertise in ARM-based SoCs (Qualcomm, MediaTek, Rockchip, NXP or similar). Deep knowledge of: DDR Memory eMMC/UFS Display Interfaces (MIPI DSI/eDP) Camera (MIPI CSI) USB Type-C Wi-Fi/Bluetooth GNSS/GPS LTE/5G (preferred) Power Management ICs Battery Management Systems Experience with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity. Hands-on experience with schematic review and PCB layout. Strong understanding of EMC/EMI compliance. Experience taking products from concept through mass production. Preferred Experience Designed Android tablets, rugged tablets, handheld devices or smartphones. Experience working with Qualcomm or MediaTek platforms. Exposure to ODMs such as Foxconn, Compal, Pegatron, Wingtech, Huaqin or Longcheer. Experience working with manufacturing partners in India or Asia. Education B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems or related discipline.
