About the role
Position Specific Requirements This role will act as the central technical authority for Air Conditioning systems within the Solar AC business. The engineer will lead advanced troubleshooting, RCA, and solution standardization, while guiding field teams and closing loops with R&D and suppliers. Deep understanding of: Refrigeration cycle Compressor behavior & failures Gas charging & pressure diagnostics Hands-on expertise in: Fault diagnosis tools Performance analysis Initiatives and/or Projects 1. Advanced Troubleshooting & Technical Support Handle complex AC-related issues escalated from field teams: Cooling inefficiency Compressor failures Gas leakage & pressure imbalance Indoor/outdoor unit performance issues Provide remote and on-site technical resolution support 2. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Problem Closure Lead detailed RCA for recurring failures: Compressor burnout Gas leakage patterns Coil/design issues Identify: Design issues Installation gaps Component failures Ensure permanent corrective actions (CAPA) are implemented 3. Debugging Framework & Knowledge Creation Develop: Standard troubleshooting flowcharts Failure diagnosis matrices Field debugging guides Create training modules for field engineers and partners 4. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with: R&D / Product team for design improvements Procurement for vendor quality issues Supplier/OEM for failure analysis & corrective actions Drive closure on manufacturing defects and systemic issues 5. Field Capability Building Mentor and guide service engineers Conduct technical trainings on: AC system diagnostics Installation-related failure prevention Build first-time-right troubleshooting capability in field Deliverables (KRAs for the next 1 year) Track failure trends and identify patterns Drive initiatives to improve: Product reliability Installation quality Service efficiency Must have (Technical Skills) Deep understanding of: Refrigeration cycle Compressor behavior & failures Gas charging & pressure diagnostics Hands-on expertise in: Fault diagnosis tools Performance analysis Job Overview: This role will act as the central technical authority for Air Conditioning systems within the Solar AC business. Education : Diploma / B.Tech in: Mechanical Engineering Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Experience: 10+ years in AC/HVAC troubleshooting Strong exposure to split AC / inverter AC systems Primary skills: We need candidate who has worked on 1-2 Ton AC RCA, Issue resolution, field failure. Can tap candidates from Production/ Manufacturing , After Sales service, OEM, etc Diagnose and resolve failure, Leakages and train field service engineers.
