About the role
Role Overview: Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure effective test coverage. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and fast feedback. - Troubleshoot test failures, analyze logs, and work with the development team to resolve issues. - Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and libraries. - Write clear and concise bug reports, test plans, and documentation. - Contribute to the adoption and improvement of best practices in automation testing. - Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, technologies, and industry trends. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation, specifically using Playwright. - Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or other relevant programming languages. - Solid experience with Playwright (or similar tools like Selenium, Cypress). - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) for integrating test automation. - Familiarity with REST APIs and web services testing. - Experience integrating automated tests with version control systems like Git. - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. - Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Preferred Skills: - Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. - Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD). - Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
