About the role
Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize large-scale infrastructure systems supporting Google's global services. Monitor network, server, storage, and cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, system, and production issues while minimizing downtime. Collaborate with software engineers, site reliability engineers (SREs), and operations teams to improve platform reliability. Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure management tools. Implement security, scalability, and performance best practices across infrastructure environments. Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent solutions for recurring technical issues. Support capacity planning, system upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives. Provide technical guidance and participate in infrastructure architecture reviews. Ensure compliance with operational standards, service-level agreements (SLAs), and industry best practices.
