GCP Devops Engineer

Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled GCP Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform setup and onboarding. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platforms using core GCP services such as GKE and BigQuery, along with IAM, networking, Terraform, and cloud architecture design. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform environments, including project setup, onboarding, and governance. • Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms using GCP services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and BigQuery. • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for repeatable and automated cloud provisioning. • Configure and manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls in alignment with security and compliance requirements. • Design and implement GCP networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, load balancing, VPNs, and private connectivity. • Collaborate with application, data, and DevOps teams to support platform onboarding, migrations, and cloud-native deployments. • Create cloud architecture designs and technical standards to support performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization. • Troubleshoot platform, networking, and access-related issues across cloud environments. • Document platform setup processes, onboarding procedures, architecture standards, and operational runbooks. • Support continuous improvement of cloud security, monitoring, automation, and governance practices. Required Skills • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) setup, onboarding, and platform administration. • Hands-on expertise in GCP services, especially GKE and BigQuery. • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, roles, and policy design. • Solid knowledge of GCP networking, including VPC, subnetting, routing, firewall configuration, and hybrid connectivity. • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation and environment provisioning. • Experience in cloud architecture design, including secure and scalable platform solutions. • Good understanding of containerization and Kubernetes concepts. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in GCP environments. • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization. • Experience supporting enterprise cloud adoption and migration initiatives. • Relevant Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Network Engineer. Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and enterprise cloud implementations.
