About the role
Responsibilities: Architect, build, and maintain Kafka producers and consumers , including Kafka Streams and Connect pipelines for real-time streaming systems. Develop Java (Java 8+) microservices using Spring Boot , working with REST APIs and backend services . Operate and configure Kafka clusters —topics, partitions, brokers, ZooKeeper/KRaft, Schema Registry. Troubleshoot messaging issues, optimize throughput and latency, and ensure high availability and security. Work with SQL (e.g. MySQL/Postgres) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) for backend integration. Integrate microservices and message pipelines within Docker , Kubernetes/ECS , and CI/CD environments. Eligility: 5–8 years hands-on experience in Java-based application development Strong expertise with Apache Kafka —producers, consumers, stream processing, configuration and administration. Solid experience building Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with Kafka ecosystem components: Connect, Streams, Schema Registry. Linux/Unix proficiency and shell scripting experience. Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
