" Job Description: QA Engineer Role Overview The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality, stability, and functional parity across applications undergoing refactoring and modernization. This role focuses on defining test strategies, validating refactored components, preventing regressions, and enabling high confidence releases in an Agile delivery environment. The QA Engineer works closely with developers, Tech Leads, Scrum Masters, and platform teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Define and execute test strategies for refactored and modernized application components Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements and designs Perform functional, regression, integration, and end to end testing Validate that refactored components maintain functional parity with existing behavior Collaborate with developers to understand changes and define appropriate test coverage Identify, report, track, and verify defect resolution Develop and maintain automated test suites where applicable Perform API testing and validate service integrations Support UAT coordination, defect triage, and release readiness activities Ensure quality gates are met before deployments and releases Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities Required Experience (Must Have) 5+ years of experience in QA / Testing roles within enterprise application environments Strong experience with manual and automated testing Hands on experience testing applications during refactoring or modernization initiatives Solid understanding of QA methodologies and best practices Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams Solid analytical, communication, and collaboration skills Core Skills & Tools (Must Have) Test Management Tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail (or equivalent) Automation Frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (or similar) API Testing: Postman, REST .
