VMware NSX Architect

As a Technical Lead for IC4V development teams at IBM Cloud, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day technical leadership. Your responsibilities include delivering detailed technical designs, leading the implementation of technical deliverables, and ensuring client satisfaction on-time and with quality. You will interface with offering managers to understand customer requirements, assess and design software solution architecture, and provide technical sizing references to support release managers and development managers planning and prioritization. Key Responsibilities: - Provide day to day technical leadership to IC4V development teams - Deliver detailed technical design and lead technical deliverable implementation - Interface with offering managers to understand customer requirements - Assess and design software solution architecture to meet customer requirements - Provide technical sizing reference to support release managers and development managers planning and prioritization - Work with IBM business units, IBM Cloud IaaS teams, 3rd party vendors, and suppliers to co-design and co-develop IC4V solutions - Use deep expertise on Cloud infrastructure, Cloud computing, Automation to build IBM IC4V solutions - Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and solutions on cloud infrastructure, cloud compute, VMWare, and competition - Interface to executives to provide technical references and serve as a liaison among technical resources in IBM, external partners, vendors, and stakeholders - Mentor and develop team members and technical community Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience with VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, and Aria Operations - Experience in integrating VMware environment with other subsystems - Extensive experience in data center infrastructure or relevant work experience - Extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure design, engineering, and support - Extensive experience as an infrastructure architect with a proven record for delivering high-quality, large-scale solutions - Extensive experience with security standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols - Some experience with Cloud networking, including VMware NSX - Some experience leveraging and designing solutions with Microsoft Windows - Some experience with Linux system administration or development - Working knowledge with Software Defined Network principles and technologies: VMware NSX, Juniper vSRX, or equivalent - Working knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle, software test principles and execution, software test automation, agile development methodologies, scrum, etc. - Working knowledge and experience in cloud-based solution development and IBM Cloud technologies, services, methodology, and processes - Experience in DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, SRE - Experience in Cloud security, data privacy, and compliance requirements for regulated workload - Good communication skills in English As a Technical Lead for IC4V development teams at IBM Cloud, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day technical leadership.
