About the role
We are looking for talented back-end engineers who are ready to help build a fintech unicorn and change the lives of underbanked Americans. We just wrapped up a Series A less than one year after our seed round and need to hire engineers that will help us continue building out are features and services. We have a fun technology stack with many of our core services already implemented.
PingLend allows almost anyone to get a credit card regardless of their credit score by collateralizing assets such as gold, jewelry, watches, handbags, etc. This allows PingLend's users to build their credit and qualify for previously unobtainable financial products. Soon we will expand to every type of collateral.
We are building a platform that will be able to handle hundreds of thousands of cards, applicants, and every type of collateral. We need brilliant people to join our team to continue shipping product fast. We have a bank that wants to run a pilot program by lending through our platform and we need to move fast to get the cards on the street.
The first goal you will be working on is to continue the back end of our dashboard web app so that our customers can see how much credit they have, what objects they have stored with us, what cards they have with us, increase their credit line through adding new objects, and shipping methods. We will be building Ai based tools to help with appraisals, and tools from the ground up to handle new kinds of collateral.
We are looking for someone who is is a strong self-starter and independent working skills and has the ability to take ownership of features from design to implementation.
Ideal technical skills: -Python development, RESTful API concepts, and microservice development. Experience with flask, sqlalchemy, and AWS cloud services is a plus.
Bay area location is strongly preferred (we are in SF).
