Job Title Software Leader - Visualization Job Summary Your role: Manages different functional/competency teams, units and respective budgets within RD software development focused on shaping and delivering new or upgrading existing software. Selects talent, supervises, coaches and evaluates performance of software development personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the software development function. Acts as the enabler for the teams, has the responsibility for adoption, success and ongoing improvement of agile development and software development practices. Acts as key liaison with other functions and organizations outside RD to drive business results. Key Areas of Responsibility Is responsible for End-to-End design, development, delivery and maintenance of software development. Manages diverse matrix organizations through Software Leaders. Defines cross-CP (Clinical Platform) software development strategy and vision, shaping engineering strategy across all value streams within CP and identifying potential improvements, synergies. Strategy Execution Executes on the organization s strategy, providing clearly defined success criteria and levels of accountability for individuals in the team. Removes impediments for the progress of the teams and acts as escalation point. Focuses on customers by understanding their needs to design and implement solutions Quality Craftmanship Consistently delivers high Quality software at a sustainable speed, maintaining an advanced level of software craftmanship as established Ensures adherence to all applicable development processes, legal, quality, security and regulatory requirements.
