Lead Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Administration of PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and any other databases throughout the development and production lifecycles in the Waltz environment

• Design and develop, logical and physical database designs from customer requirements

• Collaborate and provide best practice guidance to the development team

• Provide guidance as well as participate in the creation, modification, and implementation of database standards and procedures

• Create documentation of the database environment

• Collaborate with other DBAs and infrastructure team members to develop database deployment pipelines

• Accountability

• Best design and documentation

• Clear, concise communication with the team

• Adherence to Waltz processes

• Security first mindset

• Application/Infrastructure Architect

Responsibilities

• Understand and design applications using appropriate, relevant, cost-effective technologies

• Keeps up to date with relevant technologies enabling better application design

• Ensures clear communication of design to all teams

• Partners with the onshore Infra architect, Application architect, database architect, as well as product owners

• Documents designs thoroughly
