About the role
Description We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend of our applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver exceptional user experiences. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js - Implement robust error handling and logging - Optimize backend performance for efficiency and scalability - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend - Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Node.js and backend development Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) - 10+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js and Express.js - In-depth knowledge of Node.js concepts like event loop, asynchronous programming, and modules - Experience with building RESTful APIs - Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) (a plus) - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) (a plus) - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills - Solid communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) - Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) - Experience with GraphQL - Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) .
