About the role
Leadership & Team Management: • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior structural engineers. Coordinate with the appointed structural Engineering Consultant and Peer reviewer. • Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and performance reviews for the structural team/ consultant. Project Management & Execution: • Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, plans, and documents within quality and cost parameters. • Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and risk assessments for ongoing projects. Structural Design & Analysis: • Lead and review the development of structural design for buildings, retaining walls, and other structures. • Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering calculations, load assessments, and finite element analysis using software tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, RCDC). • Validate design assumptions and methodologies against applicable international and local standards. • Optimize structural systems and material. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: • Serve as the primary point of contact for all the stake holders on structural matters. • Participate in design charrettes, pre-construction meetings, and construction progress meetings. • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management through the appointed consultants.
