About the role
As an Applications and DevOps Engineer at Plan A Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software that integrates network platforms, IT systems, and data stores. Your role will involve owning end-to-end integrationsincluding APIs, events, and ETLto ensure reliable data flow and deliver performant, secure services across cloud and on-prem environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain software that integrates network platforms, IT systems, and data stores - Own end-to-end integrations (APIs, events, ETL) to ensure reliable data flow and deliver performant, secure services across cloud/on-prem environments - Strong experience in designing and deploying services using AWS compute, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, RDS, VPC, etc. - Build and maintain integrations with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Kafka, GitHub, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, and GitHub - Design and consume REST and RPC APIs, author OpenAPI/Swagger - Operate and optimize Postgres SQL/MySQL, focusing on high-throughput reads/writes and time-series databases - Proficiency in C#/JS, React/Typescript, with Python as a nice-to-have - Ability to leverage Co-Pilot and guide agentic AI, work with microservices, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) - Implement robust testing strategies (unit/integration/contract/e2e) and rollback strategies Qualifications Required: - At least 5+ years of experience as a Network Software Engineer - Practical understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), TLS, load balancers, proxies, and service discovery - Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written English communication skills - Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities - Initiative and drive to excel in your role Plan A Technologies is an American software development and technology advisory firm that offers top-tier engineering talent to clients worldwide.
