Engineering Manager

As a Design Engineering Manager at PMECH, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the execution of various Design engineering projects in the Oil and Gas sector. Your main responsibilities will include: - Operational Oversight: - Leading day-to-day operations across multiple Design and Engineering projects to ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and budgets. - Developing and implementing operational strategies, systems, and procedures for project delivery excellence. - Monitoring and managing design execution, progress, and project deliverables through coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. - Actively participating in proposals and Pre-bid activities. - Resource & Team Management: - Overseeing the allocation and utilization of technical and project management resources. - Working closely with department leads to ensure adequate staffing and skills across projects. - Supporting recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and team development initiatives. - Financial & Cost Control: - Assisting in estimate/budget preparation, forecasting, and cost monitoring across projects. - Identifying operational risks and implementing cost-control measures to ensure financial performance targets are met. - Working closely with finance to manage invoices, cash flow, and financial reporting. - Process Improvement & Compliance: - Driving continuous improvement in operational practices, tools, and workflows. - Ensuring compliance with client specifications, regulatory standards, and internal policies. - Facilitating audits, inspections, and internal reviews to maintain quality standards. - Client & Stakeholder Engagement: - Serving as a focal point of contact for key clients and stakeholders. - Participating in proposal development, contract negotiation, and project kickoff meetings. - Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and proactively addressing operational challenges or escalations. Your role will require strong technical skills such as a deep understanding of the project lifecycle in Design and Engineering projects, familiarity with project management tools, thorough scope understanding, multidisciplinary project coordination, and strong leadership abilities. Desired software knowledge includes MS Project, Primavera, ERP Systems, and Microsoft Office.
