As a Senior Software Engineer in the Telecommunications Core Networks team at Polaris Wireless, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable C/C++ code for high-throughput network and telecom-based applications. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, integrate with 3GPP network nodes, troubleshoot and optimize existing codebase, lead code reviews, and stay updated with emerging 3GPP standards and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable C/C++ code for high-throughput network and telecom-based applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build cutting-edge telecom solutions for 3G/4G/5G networks. - Integrate with 3GPP network nodes via standard telecom interfaces (e.g., Diameter, MAP, HTTP/2, SS7). - Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing codebase to improve performance, latency, reliability, and security. - Lead code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentor junior engineers. - Stay current with emerging 3GPP standards, technologies, and industry best practices related to telecommunications and Location Based Services (LBS). - Ensure code quality by adhering to software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and rigorous automated testing. Qualifications Required: - Strong programming skills in C++, Network Programming, Python, Perl, JSON. - Good understanding of OOPs, multithreading, collections, and data structures. - Understanding of core telecom protocols and signaling (e.g., SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, MAP, Diameter, SCTP, HTTP/2). - Platforms: Hypervisor (ProxMox, VMware). - Tools: GDB, Git, Makefiles, CMake. - Domain: 3GPP specifications for location-based services (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G). - Hands-on experience with automation and unit/integration testing.
