About the role
Role & responsibilities Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Field Engineer to lead the execution of automation projects in pharmaceutical environments, with a strong focus on instrumentation, manpower management , and coordination across internal teams and contractors . The role requires hands-on execution, field supervision, and ensuring timely project delivery as per industry standards and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Pharma Project Execution Instrumentation Focus Oversee and manage the execution of field instrumentation activities in pharma automation projects. Ensure installation, calibration, and commissioning of field instruments align with project design and pharma compliance (GMP, GAMP, etc.). Perform site surveys, loop checking, I/O testing, FAT/SAT, and ensure readiness for validation. Manpower & Team Management Lead field execution teams and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines. Supervise daily activities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians on-site. Contractor Coordination Interface with third-party contractors for installation, cabling, panel mounting, and instrument hookup. Monitor progress, verify workmanship, and ensure tasks meet specifications and timelines. Resolve field-level issues and ensure alignment with project goals. Internal Team Coordination Collaborate with design, procurement, quality, and validation teams for seamless project execution. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders and ensure project documentation is up to date. Participate in project planning meetings, risk assessments, and progress reviews Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering field 3–7 years of experience in automation project execution (preferably in the pharmaceutical sector) Strong technical knowledge of process instrumentation, PLC/DCS systems, field communication protocols Experience in handling execution teams and third-party contractors Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required
