Senior SAP Business One (SAP B1) Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description The Senior SAP Business One (SAP B1) Infrastructure Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing the infrastructure supporting SAP Business One ERP environments. This role involves designing compute, storage, networking, and database architectures across hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environments, installing and configuring SAP B1 components, managing system performance, availability, security, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation. The engineer will collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, DBAs, and business stakeholders to support deployments, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements. The role also includes documenting technical standards, leading infrastructure design decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective SAP B1 operations. Qualifications Strong experience in IT infrastructure engineering, including architecture, deployment, administration, and support of SAP Business One environments.Hands-on expertise with SAP Business One installation, configuration, upgrades, and production support.Proficiency in managing SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of Linux (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and/or Red Hat) and Windows Server administration.Experience designing and managing hybrid cloud environments on Azure, AWS, or GCP.Solid understanding of networking concepts, virtualization, storage, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and infrastructure security best practices.Experience implementing high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), backup strategies, and performance monitoring.Proficiency in automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and mentoring skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.SAP Business One, SAP HANA, cloud platform, or infrastructure-related certifications are an added advantage. Experience 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 4+ years dedicated to SAP Business One (SAP B1) infrastructure, including architecture, installation, administration, and support.Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing SAP Business One environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure.Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.Experience in planning and executing SAP B1 upgrades, migrations, patch management, and disaster recovery strategies.Experience working with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, developers, DBAs, and business stakeholders, to deliver enterprise ERP infrastructure solutions.Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting, monitoring, security hardening, and high-availability implementations.
