Software Engineer PHP We are seeking multiple experienced Software Engineers PHP (WHMCS) responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WHMCS-based applications and integrations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in PHP development, WHMCS customization, API integrations, and web application development. We are looking for professionals with at least 3 years of experience in PHP and WHMCS development, along with a solid understanding of modern development practices and troubleshooting skills. Technical Requirements (Must Have): Expert PHP Knowledge: Proficiency in PHP 7. - 8.x, deep understanding of OOP, PSR, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns. Laravel Framework: Strong experience with Laravel (Eloquent, Service Providers, Dependency Injection). Proficiency in Smarty Templating Engine. Key Task: Moving business logic out of Smarty templates into clean, testable Laravel-style controllers/classes. Legacy Code & Refactoring: Proven experience in auditing, documenting, and refactoring large, complex legacy codebases without breaking existing functionality. Database Management: Advanced MySQL/MariaDB skils. Ability to optimize slow queries, design efficient schemas, and handle large datasets. Frontend Basics: Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery) to maintain and update UI components. Good to Have (Preferred Skills): WHMCS Ecosystem: Experience developing Addon Modules, Registrar Modules, or Provisioning Hooks. cPanel Integration: Basic experience with cPanel/WHM API (UAPI or WHM API 1) for automated hosting management. Hosting Industry Knowledge: Understanding of domain registration processes, SSL certificates, and hosting provisioning. Key Responsibilities: Refactor and optimize the existing codebase to improve scalability and maintainability. Develop and maintain custom WHMCS Addon Modules. Integrate the billing system with third-party services via REST/JSON APIs. Ensure the stability of automated provisioning and billing cycles. Soft Skills: Analytical Mindset: Ability to reverse-engineer undocumented code and understand complex business logic.
