About the role
Key Responsibilities:Provide 24x7 production support for MS SQL Server & MySQL, including incident handling and RCA.Install, configure, patch, and upgrade databases across environments.Manage HA/DR (Always On, Log Shipping, MySQL Replication) and validate RPO/RTO.Monitor and optimize performance (deadlocks, slow queries, indexing).Handle database security (logins, roles, TDE, masking, MySQL security).Manage backups, maintenance (indexing, stats), and recovery testing.Automate jobs (SQL Agent, MySQL events) and alerts.Support SSIS, SSRS, and ETL workflows.Perform capacity planning, storage optimization, and documentation.Required Skills:Strong experience in MS SQL Server & MySQL. Handson with HA/DR, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.Proficiency in SQL scripting and troubleshooting.Knowledge of Linux/Windows and monitoring tools.
