The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems. The team is composed of people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing the latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have. Some examples of the digital solutions are Data driven designs of wiring, Automated routing electrical harnesses, Data Analytics based products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. We are also involved in developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning, business management etc. Some of the tools developed are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc. We work in Agile/Scrum/SAFe processes in developing state of the art digital products for the areas mentioned above. Key Responsibilities Application Development: Design, code, and deploy robust web applications using React.js for intuitive user interfaces and Python, Node.js or .NET for powerful backend services. Domain Integration: Develop algorithms and data models that integrate mechanical/aerospace engineering concepts (e.g., Finite element analysis or modelling). API & Tooling: Build and maintain APIs, plugins, and automation scripts to connect proprietary engineering tools with commercial software (e.g., HyperMesh, Abaqus or Nastran). Collaboration: Work with core engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Maintenance & Optimization: Refactor legacy engineering codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability Qualifications & Skills Education & Background WorkEx of 5+ years of relevance Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering, or a closely related STEM field with strong programming proficiency. Alternatively: A degree in Computer Science with significant, proven experience working on engineering/physics-based software. Skills (Required) Frontend Web Development: Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js for building responsive, state-managed user interfaces. Backend Ecosystems: Hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI/Flask) alongside proficiency in Node.js (Express/NestJS) or .NET (C#) for backend services and computational logic. Engineering Software Stack: Experience with Python libraries used for data science and engineering (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) Software Best Practices: Proficiency with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud-ready architectures. Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers in a customer-centric outreach. Ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative and cross-cultural environment with good Communication and Presentation skills. Domain Knowledge (Preferred) Familiarity with numerical methods, finite element analysis (FEA), or Finite element Models (FEM). Experience with FEA software APIs (e.g., TCL scripting with Altair HyperMesh) is a major plus. Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases for storing engineering data. Why Join Us You will work at the exciting intersection of code and the physical world. Your work wont just live in a database it will directly influence how real-world aerospace systems are designed, simulated, and built. We offer a collaborative environment, cutting-edge projects, and ample opportunities for professional growth. Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
