Job Position Health Engineer- Propulsion Systems Job Description Job Responsibilities The Health Engineering Team at Airbus India utilizes primarily System Engineering and Health engineering competencies. This team is responsible for defining the maintenance systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, developing diagnostic and prognostic solutions to improve the maturity of systems and to provide health monitoring capabilities by applying machine learning algorithms, reliability concepts, an adept understanding of aircraft systems and modeling and simulation capabilities. The team works with both commercial and defense space ecosystems and is also engaged on Airbus Skywise (the singular access point to data analytics) utilizing Big Data, Java Python skills to create data-driven models. We are a team strongly invested in RT initiatives that are dedicated to supporting future aircraft health needs. This team is part of Advance Engineering System Studies, a department that works on providing simulation means for most aircraft systems and industrial needs through the application of systems engineering and design. Job Responsibilities We are looking for a Propulsion Systems- Data Analyst who is self-motivated and driven to work on propulsion systems being responsible for: Understanding the technological needs of Propulsion systems design office and its extended ecosystem (customers, suppliers, strategic partners etc.). Perform data analysis over Post Flight Report/logbooks etc from Skywise to monitor safety related KPIs for propulsion systems Identify and define KPI s, create dashboards/tools and analytical models vital for tracking and managing the business post feature engineering/data wrangling Identify challenges by analyzing trends from data and initiate process/product improvements Perform root cause analysis for the erroneous data trends to improve safety analysis for propulsion systems Provide analysis for large datasets necessary for safety related decisions using actionable insights. Identification of candidate algorithms for predictive maintenance via systematic analysis of in-service data and "hidden" correlation exhibition Confirmation of promising candidate algorithms via supervised learning and/or engineering knowledge injection (parameter dependency tree) Thorough understanding of propulsion systems and use the same to identify detailed not-so-obvious anomalies/correlations and evaluate its effectiveness Provide information on analytic results to business and functional leaders using visualizations to communicate data and metrics. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required experience Skills B.Tech./B.E./MTech./M.E. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering A minimum of 2 years experience in Aerospace or Propulsion systems Well experienced in Data Analytics (like Generative AI, LLM), related tools (Matlab, Python, R, etc.). Hand-on experience on data wrangling/data mining techniques Awareness in Skywise or experience in equivalent data platforms. Understanding of propulsion systems. Knowledge of FMECA/RCA analysis Awareness of aviation safety/airworthiness requirements Awareness of system engineering, Big Data and Reliability concepts Experienced with at least one of the scripting languages (Python, Java, C etc) Business Proficiency in English Nice to Have Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of propulsion systems and associating the technology to solve relevant problem statements.
