Associate Architect - Migration

As a Cloud Migration Engineer at Presidio, you will be part of the Cloud Solutions team, focusing on helping customers adopt cloud technologies and achieve their business outcomes through migration and modernization projects. Role Overview: You will be responsible for executing and implementing cloud migration projects, utilizing your expertise in design and hands-on execution across Mobilize, Migrate & Modernize phases. Your role will involve working with migration tooling, AWS services, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and potentially containers & orchestration. Key Responsibilities: - Design, lead, and execute migration waves for server, database, and application workloads, from kick-off to cutover - Utilize 7R migration strategies to implement the defined approach by the architect - Conduct application portfolio discovery and dependency mapping using migration tooling - Build and maintain detailed wave plans, cutover runbooks, rollback procedures, and go/no-go checklists - Provide technical inputs, effort estimates, and tooling recommendations during the Assess/Mobilize phase - Hands-on experience with AWS-native and third-party migration tooling such as AWS Application Migration Service, Database Migration Service, and third-party tools like CloudEndure - Strong AWS hands-on skills including core services, landing zone design, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and cloud security best practices - Automate post-migration infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation - Experience setting up or integrating CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps - Stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills to engage with clients, conduct workshops, and deliver technical presentations - Develop migration roadmaps, wave plans, and cloud target-state architectures in collaboration with delivery leads - Lead end-to-end migration architecture for client engagements, from discovery to post-migration validation - Implement post-migration monitoring and collaborate with teams to ensure delivery quality - Mentor junior engineers on best practices and contribute to internal accelerators and reusable assets Qualification Required: - Cloud Migration Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional - Hands-on experience with AWS services, migration tooling, automation, and CI/CD pipelines - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Experience in designing and executing cloud migration projects - Familiarity with containers & orchestration (desired) At Presidio, you will join a culture of innovators and collaborators, shaping the future with cutting-edge technologies.
