We build large-scale, AI-native SaaS systems operating across geographies, languages, tenants, and enterprise-scale workloads. About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced Tech Lead or Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and engineering of our high-throughput, multi-tenant SaaS platform. This is a deeply technical, hands-on leadership role. You will drive architecture decisions, own systems end-to-end, and elevate engineering quality across teams. Meaningful, professional full-stack experience is strongly preferred — not side projects, but production systems you've owned. AI/ML exposure is a bonus, not a requirement. What We're Looking For 1. Distributed Systems & Platform Architecture Proven ownership of scalable, highly available SaaS backends. Strong grasp of event-driven design, async processing, CAP theorem, fault tolerance, and horizontal scaling. Hands-on experience with queueing systems (BullMQ, RQ, SQS/SNS, or equivalent). 2. Full-Stack Engineering Strong backend foundation (Node.js / Express, Python) with meaningful, production-grade frontend experience (React / Next.js preferred). You can own a module end-to-end — architecture, APIs, and UI — not just one layer. Meaningful, production-grade Python experience is expected; the specific workload type matters less than depth in the ecosystem. 3. CS Fundamentals & Runtime Internals Deep understanding of concurrency, memory management, and CPU profiling. Comfortable diagnosing event loop blocking, heap issues, worker bottlenecks, and resource leaks across runtimes. 4. Database Design & Performance Advanced schema design across NoSQL (MongoDB preferred) and relational systems, plus Redis for caching. Experience with indexing strategies, aggregation pipelines, sharding, replication, query optimisation, and multi-tenant data isolation. 5. Reliability & Observability Production-grade systems thinking: distributed tracing, structured logging, Prometheus/Grafana, SLI/SLO definition, incident response, and root-cause analysis. Comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes deployments. 6. Technical Leadership & Mentorship You lead architectural reviews, drive cross-team design decisions, and mentor engineers on systems thinking, scalability, and production-grade practices. You raise the bar without creating bottlenecks. Nice to Have AI/LLM platform integration or agentic system design Voice processing, real-time transcription, or speech pipeline experience Vector databases and semantic retrieval Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) Open-source contributions or technical writing
