About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for the end-to-end design of mechanical components and systems, starting from conceptual design and CAD modeling to prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support. You should possess strong technical capability, project handling skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders. Identifying and resolving routine engineering issues independently and escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Support new product development and enhance existing systems by applying foundational engineering principles, industry standards, and internal procedures. - Proficiency in mechanical design, 3D/2D CAD modeling, engineering documentation, and product data management is essential. - Perform routine engineering tasks like material selection, tolerance studies, and design verification according to applicable standards. - Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software such as INVENTOR, Creo, DraftSight/AutoCAD, and Windchill PLM. - Execute specific engineering assignments for new or existing products within predefined design parameters. - Prepare and update engineering design documentation, drawings, and technical files. - Provide regular status and progress reports, complete tasks within defined timelines, and maintain optimal productivity and quality. - Plan and manage work to meet scheduled deliverables, work effectively as a team member, and maintain flexibility in handling assigned tasks. - Ensure compliance with safety rules, engineering standards, and company policies. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. - Minimum 8-10 years of relevant industry experience. - Strong knowledge of the Design domain and inventor software. - Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within Wireline or Drilling services.
